It doesn’t get any rarer than the 12-story Mansion Residences with two units per floor (one east, one west). After all, the building is managed by the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and has full access to its amenities. Units in the 1994 building range from 3,500 square feet to well over 5,500 square feet. You’d think that each floor would have the same two units. Not so. The building was offered as unfinished shell space and some buyers wanted larger units and the developer allowed buyers to borrow space from the (unsold) neighboring unit. The Mansion Residences was Dallas’ first building to utilize raised floors to enable owners to move plumbing wherever it was desired. The floorplans tend to be long with the living room being the widest point. Because there are only two units per floor, each floor decides on the décor for their elevator lobby. Building amenities include security, valet, porters, Mansion hotel access and discounts: restaurant, room service, gym, pool, spa, meeting rooms.
